Common Name - Hardy Plumbago.  A small flowering shrub with beautiful cobalt blue flowers on it through the autumn. It is known for attracting butterflies.  This plant is in a cold shady corner, in clay soil.

Common name - Firethorn. Firethorns are all tough, very hardy shrubs which tolerate a wide range of demanding conditions, including shaded and exposed positions, and make dense thorny evergreen growth ideal for intruder-proof hedging or for training on walls to display their profuse and brightly coloured berries. This shrub is planted in clay soil in a shady corner, and the berries are beautiful from October through to spring if the birds don't pinch them first!
