Africa, Arum Lily is commonly cultivated as a cut flower. In this
variety clump forming rhizomes. Perennial plant, evergreen in mild
areas, with stem erect, arrow shaped, glossy, bright evergreen leaves,
to 40 Cm long.

of Bethlehem. An easily grown plant, it succeeds in any position in
ordinary garden soil. Prefers a sunny position. Succeeds in short grass,
though this should not be mown from the time the bulbs start to grow
until they have set seed and the leaves are dying down. Plants are hardy
to about -10°c.

Osteospermum

'Whirligig' - hence
the unusual petal formation. Osteospermums, like their close relatives
the Dimorphothecas, are quite rightly growing in popularity and this is
one of the finest. Although in its native South Africa it is a bushy,
evergreen perennial, it flowers freely the first year from seed and in
this country it is usually grown as a half-hardy annual bedding plant.
